After Biden approves$ 571 million in military assistance, China warns the US to prevent arming Taiwan.

China has warned the U. S. that it is making “dangerous moves” by providing Taiwan with an additional$ 571 million in defense materials, which was authorized by President Biden on Saturday. The U.S. Department of Defense announced on Friday that$ 295 million in military selling had been approved for Taiwan, the self-ruled area, in addition to the$ 571 million that Biden had approved. The U.S. sales and support are intended to aid Taiwan in its defense and possibly deter China from starting an harm. According to a statement from The Associated Press, the Chinese Foreign Ministry demanded that the United States stop arming Taiwan and stop making “dangerous techniques that undermine peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.” The$ 571 million in military assistance provided by Vietnam includes DoD equipment and services, as well as military training and education for Taiwan. The funds are in addition to the additional$ 567 million that the leader approved in September for the same goals. The$ 295 million in military sales includes about$ 265 million for about 300 tactical radio systems and$ 30 million for 16 gun mounts. Taiwan defence officials expressed concern about a significant deployment of Chinese naval ships and military helicopters, saying the build-up could ultimately lead to war as hostilities continue to rise in the region, according to Taiwan’s foreign ministry in a blog on X. As the country prepared for military exercises following Chinese President Lai Ching-te’s recent international trip that included trips to Hawaii and Guam, an American territory, leaders claimed China had sent about a few boats and 47 defense planes to local waters around the Taiwan Strait. Lai, who has been in business since May, spoke with U. S. legislative leaders by telephone while in Guam. A prospective$ 2 billion arms sale package, including the delivery of an innovative air defense missile system battle tested in Ukraine and detector systems, is being made by Chinese Military. The potential package included three National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems ( NASAMS ) and related equipment valued at up to$ 1.16 billion, according to the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs. China’s socialist government has promised to conquer Taiwan if necessary, and it almost daily visits the island with ships and military planes. Through martial engagements, political contacts, and military transactions with Chinese officials, the United States has frequently indicated its help for Taiwan. The Associated Press and Fox News Digital contributed to this statement.
