Gaetz files a lawsuit to prevent the release of the Ethics Committee review.

Former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., is suing to stop the transfer of a House Ethics Committee record on his alleged conduct. In a complaint filed in federal district court in Washington, D. C., the Republican’s lawyers maintain Gaetz’s ignorance, say that the do detailed in the document is misleading, and claim the commission does not have control over him because he is no longer in office. The multi-year investigation into Gaetz, which involved allegations of sex with a slight and illicit drug use, abruptly came to an abrupt halt next month after he abruptly resigned from Congress time after being appointed by President-elect Trump to serve as his attorney general. Gaetz after withdrew his candidacy. The complaint states that” the anticipated remarks and release of information by Defendants are expected to include references and draw conclusions that Plaintiff engaged in conduct that amounts to “fraud” or was otherwise unethical. Because Claimant did not violate any criminal law or other code of ethics within Defendants ‘ purview, the expected statements and information are fake, technically incorrect, and untrue. ” When released, the destruction to Plaintiff’s status and professional status may be immediate, severe and inevitable, especially because: a. The Committee’s results may take the imprimatur of standard Congressional actions, b. Media coverage would be quick and common, c. The allegations would forever remain in the open record, d. No enough remedy exists to retract or correct information when released”, it adds. REPORT BY THE HOUSE ETHICS Council TO BE RELEASED The House Ethics Committee may release the statement as soon as Monday. According to the processing,” Defendants improperly continued to act on its investigation after Plaintiff’s departure from Congress, and allegedly voted to formally launch reports and/or analytical materials related to Applicant without proper observe or disclosure to Plaintiff.” The Committee’s “unremarkable excess” that threatens fundamental constitutional rights and established legal protections is also stated in its report, which it directly acknowledges it lacks jurisdiction over past members, its failure to adhere to democratic notions of expected process, and its failure to adhere to its own procedural rules and precedent. Last week, after the Committee voted to release the report, Gaetz wrote on Z that”” I was charged with nothing: FULLY EXONERATED. “GAETZ WITHDRAWS AS ATTORNEY GENERAL NOMINEE” Not even a campaign finance violation. And the individuals who were looking into me hated me. Then, House Ethics assembled the very “witches” DOJ deemed inadmissible, without any cross-examination or objection from me or my attorneys. I’ve had no chance to ever confront any accusers. I’ve never been charged. I’ve never been sued,” Gaetz said “.In my single days, I often sent funds to women I dated– even some I never dated but who asked. I spent years dating several of these women. I NEVER had sexual contact with someone under 18, “he continued”. Any legal action I might take would be overturned, which is why no legal action was ever taken. ” My 30s were a time when I worked very hard and played hard.” It’s embarrassing, though not criminal, that I probably partied, womanized, drank and smoked more than I should have earlier in life,” Gaetz concluded”. I now lead a different life. The House Ethics Committee did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on Monday. “CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP.
