NeuroFlow acquires, integrates Intermountain’s cognitive health analysis design

The patented behavioral health analysis concept developed at Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health has been acquired by NeuroFlow this year. WHY IT MATTERS
The package, which will see the scientifically validated type integrated into NeuroFlow’s software, enhances the agency’s analytics and AI capabilities and enables broader implementation of effective danger assessment models, according to the firm. The predicted complexity algorithm, which was first developed in-house at Intermountain and refined over the course of the past ten years, identifies relationships between combined data elements to manual targeted-risk decision-making and team treatment options, provide feedback on the effectiveness of ongoing initiatives, and aid in tracking and monitoring of changes in people ‘ conditions. ” In principal care, there are many dependent factors to consider when identifying mental and physical health, and social care requirements”, said Tammer Attallah, LCSW, cognitive health scientific software executive director at Intermountain Health, in a statement. ” The creation of our standardized workflow assesses the complexity of these variables and offers shared decision support that identifies targeted, evidence-based physical, mental health, and social resources”, Attallah explained. The model uses data from sources like patient self-reporting, disease registries, electronic health records, and claims to use it to strategize and deliver a more contextualized and effective integrated course of higher-quality care. NeuroFlow points out that patients frequently become overwhelmed with too many screening and assessment tools, and that providers struggle to integrate multiple data points, which can prevent patient-provider interaction and potential opportunities for shared decision-making. The developed model from Intermountain can improve the availability of more accurate and pertinent data for behavioral healthcare processes. WHY IT MATTERS
Intermountain has long been a leader in innovations involving artificial intelligence and analytics, including genAI to reduce clinician burden and an institute to guide ethical deployments. The two organizations say they’ll continue to work together on developing the risk complexity model, and NeuroFlow’s newest agreement with the health system extends from a strategic collaboration announced this past summer. NeuroFlow, which acquired behavioral health assessment and measurement-based care provider Owl in 2024, says it plans to offer clients from other sectors access to the model’s enhanced capabilities later this year and to provide health systems behavioral health-intelligence tools to help improve provider decision-making and patient outcomes. ON THE RECORD
” Intermountain’s proven clinical workflow model is provided through high-functioning teams, an integrated mental and physical treatment plan, and the associated combination of targeted team resources”, said Dr. Brenda Reiss-Brennan, mental health integration implementation science senior advisor at Intermountain Health, in a statement. This offers highly efficient and effective means of achieving desired outcomes.
