FIRST ON FOX: House Republicans are pushing to abolish the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms ( ATF ) ahead of President-elect Donald Trump taking office later this month. Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo., is unveiling the expenses on Tuesday and already has some co-sponsors in Reps. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., Mike Collins, R-Ga., Bob Onder, R-Mo., Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., Mary Miller, R-Ill., Keith Self, R-Texas, and Paul Gosar, R-Ariz. Burlison argued that the ATF was an “unconstitutional company” and that its mission and goals are replicas of existing state and local laws. DANIEL PENNY TO Get TAPPED FOR CONGRESSIONAL GOLD MEDAL BY HOUSE GOP LAWMAKER” The Constitution provides pretty clearly that there may be no legislation restricting weapon when it comes to the federal government,” he told Fox News Digital. ” It’s in the scope of the state, and so I don’t think it belongs on the national level”. However, I want to point out one point: they don’t have the staff to enforce the laws that they enforce. So they go to every native state law enforcement official to get help implementing their pointless new laws, according to Blurison, who said” I’m sure there are a few people in Trump’s world that are open to this.” Vice President-elect JD Vance, who formerly vowed to fight for the abolishment of the ATF, has recently called for repealing the ATF and pledged to fight toward that goal in the Senate. Democrats ARE ADVERTISED BY DOG MUSK, RAMASWAMY, ABOUT ACCORDING TO FINAL RESTRICTIONS FOR ACCESS TO PENALTIES AND OTHER MATTERS. Additionally, it aids in law enforcement investigations, such as the most new New Orleans harm. In 1972, the ATF became a commission under the control of the Treasury Department. After the ATF’s requirements on gun control and bombs were added to its jurisdiction in the 1990s, it was transferred to the Department of Justice in 2003 as a law enforcement agency. Gun control activists who support the ATF’s life claim that it does a significant amount of work in the fight against gun violence. But, critics like Burlison argue its rules are unnecessary. Steven Dettelbach, the director of the ATF, earlier this week, expressed his concern that limiting the ATF may lead to more unnecessary deaths. ” People who don’t believe that laws protection, including ATF, has anything to do with driving down violent crime are only wrong — it didn’t happen by accident”, he told the New York Times. However, the ATF has received public criticism for its handling of the infamous skirmishes in Ruby Ridge and Waco, Texas.” What I am concerned about is that people will take their attention off the ball, that they’ll either getting complacent or social, or some combination of those things,” she said. Trump had formerly promised to sack Dettelbach on his first time in business. He claimed that the Biden presidency nominee was a “radical gun-grabber” at a National Rifle Association function. Trump and the ATF reached out for comment from Fox News Digital.
